- "When the Order crumbled, I set out on my own. After years of searching, I found the Shield and brought it to Fort Bulwark for safe keeping."
- ―Sir Henrik[src]
Sir Henrik was a member of the old Knights of the Nine. He was one of the members of the knights, most had either left for the War of Red Diamond, or had left what they saw was a dying order. While many of the relics where taken into war, Henrik found the Shield of the Crusader and decided it was best to guard the shield and make sure it never entered the wrong hands.
With the help of some of his most trusted friends, he set off to Fort Bulwark with the plan on turning it into a safe haven for the Shield. Henrik and his comrades built many traps and puzzles to slow down and kill any invaders. However, Henrik died during a raid and never got to see the his work completed.
His spirit and first encountered by the Hero in the under-croft of the Priory of the Nine, guarding the Cuirass of the Crusader along with the rest of the great knights of his time. Henrik will tell the hero how to find the fort but will also warn him that the fort was made to defend the Shield for all time and will still contain many traps.
