"The wars of men undermined the service of the Nine. Do not follow in our mistakes."
―Sir Juncan[src]

Sir Juncan was a member of the Knights of the Nine. He was one of the knights that found the body of Sir Ralvas after he failed to recover the Mace of the Crusader, a quest he refused to help in while he looked for the Boots of the Crusader. He later discovered that the Boots were needed to get the Mace, and he blamed himself for the death of his friend. Juncan died of unknown causes while searching for the Boots.

Sir Juncan was able to stay out of the War of the Red Diamond, and believed that it was the knights getting into the wars of man that destroyed them.

His spirit is first encountered by the Hero while searching for the Cuirass of the Crusader in the undercroft of the Priory of the Nine. If the Hero succeeds in his fight against Juncan and the other Knights, he will assist the Hero in finding the Relics, in particular the Boots. He will then point the Hero to a Shrine of Kynareth, where the Boots are.

Interactions[]

Priory of the Nine[]

After hearing about the massacre at the Chapel of Dibella, in Anvil, the Hero has set forth to find the Relics of the Crusader and stop the attacks led by Umaril the Unfeathered.

Umaril the Unfeathered[]

After receiving the Blessing of Talos and the promoting of Knights, it is time to face Umaril the Unfeathered at Garlas Malatar. The Prophet has marked the keep where he is hiding.

Dialogue[]

Show: Priory of the Nine
Inside the Priory of the Nine:

"I wish to see you succeed where I failed. I was on the path to the Boots of the Crusader, but died before I reached them. Do you wish to learn what little I know?"

Tell me more. "I cannot tell you exactly how to find the Boots, for that will be up to Kynareth. I can tell you to seek out her Priests, though. West of the Imperial City, on the edge of the Great Forest, is a shrine. You will find them there, and they will tell you what you need to know."
Not now. "Then I shall await your return."

"May the Nine guide your way."

If approached again:

"Find the Priestesses of Kynareth. Only they can guide you to the boots. All I can do is set you on the path."

Boots of the Crusader "The Boots are safeguarded by Kynareth herself. You must be tested, and prove yourself worthy to acquire them."
Boots of the Crusader (After retrieving the Boots) "You are an asset to our Order. You have claimed the Boots, and for this I am grateful."
Knights of the Nine "The wars of men undermined the service of the Nine. Do not follow in our mistakes."
Mace of Zenithar "Sir Ralvas requested for the Mace after Sir Berich's betrayal. He believed that with the Mace, he would be able to bring the rest of us together. He stayed at the Chapel of Leyawiin for months, attempting the test over and over. He hardly ate. Hardly slept. In the end, he failed. He left the chapel broken and beaten. Sir Amiel found his body and laid him to rest here at the Priory."
Mace of Zenithar (After retrieving the Mace) "So it was the boots that Sir Ralvas needed to complete his quest? What a fool I was to refuse to help him. I will carry this regret for all time."
Shield of the Crusader "Sir Henrik spent his days looking for the Shield. He was so determined; we all were in those days."

"May your sword strike true."
