The Shrine of Kynareth is a shrine in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Kynareth is the Goddess of the heavens, the winds, the elements, and the unseen spirits of the air.

Physical appearance[]

The shrine looks like an owl mounted onto a pedestal. The whole sculpture has a light purple tint to it. According to Hearthfire, the main body of the owl is made of iron, the beak is made of sapphire and the eyes are two moonstones.

Blessing effects[]

Activating the shrine confers the Blessing of Kynareth for a duration of eight hours.

Only one blessing (effect) can be active at one time. Praying at a different shrine will remove this effect.

This shrine can be crafted for a homestead as part of The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire. It requires the following components:

Location: In the Wreck of the Brinehammer in the Brinehammer's "Below Deck." To the right of the chest, in between the bookshelves.

Location: In Fort Sungard, if the fort is controlled by the Forsworn.

Location: At an unmarked location southwest of Morthal, on the path leading up to Brood Cavern.

Raven Rock Hillside DR[]

Location: At an unmarked location on a hill between Bloodskal Barrow and Raven Rock. There are flags on the hillside, leading to the shrine.
