Right of Theft is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online. It is part of the larger quest "Shades of Green."

Walkthrough[]
A Shadow Rift in Dread Vullain.
When approaching Dread Vullain after starting Shades of Green, you will run into a woman named Nara. She will tell you that the Blackroot Clan have risen from the dead; they were nasty in life and are even nastier now. Once you are done talking. Indaenir will show up; talk to him and he will tell you that of course you need to find a way to put the clan back to rest, but that this is also an opportunity to learn what happened to the clan so long ago.
Besides the clan, there are also other spirits here, who wish to show you what happened in the past. There are five of these scenes in total, spread around the area. You will learn that a village sacrificed themselves to ensure their sister villages were safe from the Blackroot Clan, that they poisoned themselves before battle in order to poison the Blackroot Clan when they feasted on them. The Blackroot Clan went to the Nereid Temple for a cure after this. The final vision will show that the leader of the clan had his bow stolen, and the Right of Theft was invoked to get him to march against the Aldmeri Dominion.
Head for the Nereid Temple, which is near the location of the final vision. Speak with Indaenir there and he will speculate that it was a Servant of Naemon that stole the bow from General Malgoth. The way to put the clan back to rest is to get this bow back, so Indaenir will send you into the Neried Temple for clues. Head inside and search for the General's remains; you will find them in the southeastern room, on a pedestal. Upon searching the remains, you will be taken into the Shadow Wood by Naemon's Servant, and he will taunt you to come and take the bow from him.
Head out of the temple and you will find Indaenir there; speak with him and he will tell you that the spirits that showed you the visions earlier are trapped in this realm. To free them, you must close the rifts throughout the area; they are in the same places where you found the spirits back on Tamriel. Closing the rifts is optional, but it will weaken Naemon's grip on the area. Your real task right now is to take the bow from the Servant of Naemon in the northwest of the area. If you do close all the rifts though, the spirit of Elphirion will appear to thank you, and you can persuade her to grant you a shield that will protect you while you are in the Shadow Wood.
Once you have killed the Servant of Naemon and taken the bow, you will be transported back to Valenwood. Speak with Indaenir there and he will tell you that since you stole the bow from Naemon, you can now invoke the Right of Theft against General Malgoth. The general will be standing next to Indaenir; you can either release him or you can compel him to fight against Naemon and his forces. Either way, talk to Indaenir again to finish the quest.
