The Windhelm Jail is a sublocation as well as an unmarked location within the Windhelm Barracks in Windhelm's Palace of the Kings. It serves as the prison for those who commit crimes inside Eastmarch Hold.

Blood on the Ice[]
The Dragonborn accesses the Palace in search of Ulfric's steward, Jorleif, who offers clues on the whereabouts of the Butcher. After the Strange Amulet is obtained and Wuunferth the Unliving is accused, he is imprisoned in the dungeons of the palace.

- This jail is one of the few, if not the only, to not have a separate loading cell and is instead located in the same cell as the guardhouse/barracks.
