I just wanted to ask for anyones info on the best locations for loot. I just picked up the game to get myself ready for the new one that is coming out. I have gone into a couple different caves/mines but none of them really had anything decent in terms of weapons or armor. I did get the sword Umbra which has really helped but if anyone can point me in the directions of some good places to get stuff that would be awesome. Thanks!
My favorite locations:
- Heavy Armor: Barren Cave, Fort Carmala
- Light Armor: Black Rock Caverns
These places will generally have the best armor as soon as it's available. However, you will be dealing with Vampires where I farm Heavy Armor, so plan accordingly and make sure you haven't contracted the disease as soon as you're done clearing out the cavern. A cave with a lot of loot with not much fighting is Rockmilk Cave north of Leyawiin. It has both light and heavy armor because it has Black Bow Bandits and Marauders. They will be fighting each other if they dont see you, and the ones who survive the skirmish will be weakend. Plus, if you complete the Mazoga the Orc quest's you can turn in the Black Bows to the Count of Leyawiin for 100 septims each. Also, it has a boss level chest in the tent on the second level.
