Bound equipment exploit[]

To complete this exploit, you need two scrolls or spells. One, a Bound equipment scroll/spell, and two, a Disintigrate armor/weapon scroll/spell. You may want to do this is a place wear dropping is easily completed. To start the exploit, activate the Bound equipment magic, and equip it, and then activate the Disintigrate magic, unequip your Bound equipment, and drop it. After you have dropped the damaged armor, wait until both spells end, and pick it up. You should have the Bound armor for your taking.

Another way of doing this is to equip bound equipment (spell/runestone/scroll) get the armor damaged, the easiest way to do this is simply punch a guard, resist arrest then yield and pay your fine. Now repair your armor with a repair hammer and now the equipment is droppable. Simply wait for the spell to wear off or cast dispel.

Yet another way is to equip the equipment, over-repair it with the expert armorer perk, then get it 'repaired' back to the normal 100% by someone who offers a repair service and it is now droppable.

Errors and misconceptions[]

When doing this, don't expect Daedric armor exactly, because Bound armor is its own armor line, as well as a special Enchanted set. Bound armor is lighter, and weaker then Daedric, and can't be enchanted, unless unenchanted somehow. Also, Bound armor can not be duplicated, so if you wish to duplicate it, you should probably duplicate the scrolls.

Notes[]

Because Bound Armor is weightless, it can be reverse-pickpocketed onto NPC's, and because it is the higher quality equipment, they will equip it. This can be very helpful keeping certain people alive like Baurus during the Path of Dawn quest.

Because they are not supposed to be dropped, they tend to not clip (fall through) walls and the ground. A confirmed place this will occur is where you spawn in Bravil when arrested and then released, just outside the castle. Try quickly running to the bridge leading from the castle to the town and dropping the equipment there, being carful not to run out of time for the spell.

The Bound Cuirass and Greaves are Heavy Armor, while the Gauntlets, Boots, Helmet and Shield are Light Armor.
