I just got Oblivion. Plain and simple this game looks pretty in depth. My question is, are they any special ways to do things in Oblivion. Like, Is there a complete creat a character process if so what is the best combo of skills for a first time player. I just finished playing Dragon age Origins for the fourth time and comparisons to it would be very helpful. Also is there just plain anything that people should know about this game heading into it.

I havent played that game, myself, so I cannot provide any comparisons to is, sadly. However, I can tell you that the Tutorial Mission (the first mission) makes you use a combination of the three different "play types" (Warrior, Mage, Thief). Whichever one feels more natural to yourself (or a combination of them) - play as that play style. None are any "easier" than any other, if you chose your class and race right. (for example, if you want to be an Orc, you will likely want to be a warrior, same with Nords and Orcs. Altmer and Bretons are typically good for the mage/magic play style and Bosmer are good for the thief/stealth style. However, if you are unsure, I would suggest an Imperial, as they are the best for "new" players (They have abilities across all three styles of playing). Other than that - I would suggest you go out, explore, and join one of the various guilds at one point - its probably the easiest way to make money.
