Getting married is very simple. First you will need an Amulet of Mara. There are several ways to obtain this amulet. I will talk of three. The first way to get an Amulet of Mara is by going to the Temple of Mara in Riften. While inside the Temple of Mara speak to the women named Dinya Balu, she will be meandering aimlessly around the Temple. Talk to her about Mara, and you will recieve the quest The Book of Love. After completing the quest Dinya will give you an Amulet of Mara. The second way is to go to Dawnstar and travel North East onto the beach. Keep walking down the beach and eventually you will stumble across a tent, and laying on a bed inside the tent is the Amulet of Mara. The Last way I am going to discuss is the simplest. Travel to Riften and go inside the Bee and Barb. Talk to Marmaral and ask him about getting married, he will then offer to sell you an Amulet of Mara for 200 gold. After you obtain the Amulet of Mara speak to a woman/man you wish to marry. You can only marry certain individuals in Skyrim. Such as people you have done side-quests for. People who you are eligible to marry at the time will give you the option to ask them if "You're interested in me" and if you respond yes then you two will be engaged; simple as that. After you are engaged head down to The Temple of Mara in Riften again, and speak to Marmaral about having a wedding ceremony here; in The Temple of Mara. Then he will say that your wedding is tomorrow. Be at the Temple of Mara at 8am the following day. There the ceremony will take place and you two will be wed, and you will recieve a Band of Matrimony which will increase the power of your restoration skill. After getting married you have an option to live at her house, or yours if you own one. You can always move at anytime also. Some people ask "Why would you get married?" Being married has a few benefits. One, you get the Band of Matrimony. Two, every twenty-four hours you can talk to your spouse and ask them for about a share of profits from her store. Depending on who you marry you can receive anywhere from 100-750 gold per day. And this gold will accumulate over the days. Three, you can ask your wife for a meal, and she will give you a home made meal which will restore your health, stamina, and magicka. Last of all, you can sell any items to your wife while at home. (exept stolen goods, except if you have the speechcraft perk).
