Scale is an argonian found dead in Blackreach. He has a note on him that explains everything about him. He is a thief that helped the Silver Hand. He escaped when the player attacked and found that an object in Black Reach was very valuable. He goes down there and is found dead by the player (depends on if the player goes off the trail and explores a bit). If you read the note it says that he came in 3 days before the player comes in. Their is a Chaurus close by so that is probably what killed him. Also there is a rock high above him that he could have fell off.
