I decided to join the Companions with my Level 13 Argonian, so I spoke to the leader and he has Vilkas train me outside. I am coming across a bug (or two) where:

1) Vilkas keeps accusing me of using magic and repeats the dialogue over and over again.

2) After I stike him, complete the training with and get the new quest from him, he suddenly starts attacking me along with the rest of the Companion members. I've tried running out of the city, waiting outside for 24 hours and going back inside. He still attacks me if I get near.

I don't understand what is causing it to mess up. I have no bounty in any of the cities, I have nothing enchanted in my inventory (I only the clothes on my back and a steel sword), I don't use any magic and I make sure he strikes at me first before I strike him back. I tried this one console command called 'stopcombatalarmonactor' on both Vilkas (and anyone else attacking me), but he just starts attacking again.

I even tried reloading an old save, but I still get the same bug. :c

Are you using an enchanted weapon? If so, that counts as using magic. If not, try this:

This command changes the relationship rank between the player and Vilkas.

prid 1A695
setrelationshiprank 14 3

That sets Vilkas relationship to you as an ally. Hope it works —TombRaiser SPEAK! 05:33, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

No, I am not using an enchanted weapon. Like I said, I am not carrying anything magical/enchanted. I just tried using that console command you gave me and now he runs away in fear and cowers like I'm still going to attack him. :| LiliumSnow (talk) 06:25, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, he will run away from you now, because now that he's your ally, he won't fight you. I thought that would fix it, but don't worry, the command didn't break anything. So, has the issue been resolved yet? Maybe fast travel to another town for a few days, do some miscellaneous quests, then come back and see if he's calmed down by then. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 05:29, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
I reloaded a save and tried the console command again. This time he still attacked me, but while he was chasing me around I decided to use the console "kill" on him to see if that would do anything. He then collapsed to the ground, dragging himself along and finally stopped going after me. :) LiliumSnow (talk) 07:49, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
Interesting way to solve the problem. But, glad to hear his not going psycho any more. :D —TombRaiser SPEAK! 05:31, October 2, 2012 (UTC)
