Fur Armor is a light armor set found in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Crafted from the hide of animals, it is considered a low-tier armor that is very common throughout Skyrim.

Variants

There are four variants of Fur Armor available, however the appearance does not affect armor rating:

• Bare torso.
• Bare torso with shawl.
• Full body sleeveless.
• Full body sleeves.

Locations

It is very common for Bandits to be wearing Fur Armor often mixed with Hide Armor.

Bandits wear all four varieties of Fur Armor, Fur Shoes and Fur Bracers. Stormcloak Soldiers and other Hold Guard often wear Fur Boots and Fur Gauntlets along with their Guard Cuirass.

Fur armor cannot be crafted.

Attributes

Fur Armor is slightly stronger than Hide Armor but cannot be crafted, all pieces and varieties of Fur Armor are very common except for the helmet, which is rather hard to find, two Fur Helmets can be found inside the Dainty Sload near the Solitude Lighthouse. You may also find two helmets in White River Watch, south-east of Whiterun.

Trivia

• Fur Armor is one of the few things that can be sold to hunters encountered in the wilderness. This is odd, considering they will not buy any other form of apparell.
• Fur Armor also has the same armor rating as Light Imperial Armor.
