Gaius Prentus is a Bravil guard who monitors the entrance to the Shivering Isles.

Gaius is serious about his job, making sure that nothing dangerous exits the gate. Not long after the Hero of Kvatch arrives, he proves this when Belmyne Dreleth exits the gate and becomes insane, which lead to him being put down.

The only person who has exited the gate and been spared is S'fara, who believes she is invisible and has remained peaceful.

Once the player accepts Haskill's offer to enter the isles, Gaius refuses to talk to them because they have spent too much time on the other side.
