Garthek is a character that is mentioned in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Garthek was the leader of a Bandit clan, that had roughly "twenty men in total," including Thrynn, who later joined the Thieves Guild. This clan cared mainly for killing.

One day, they came upon a caravan that was abandoned by its men. Only the women and children remained. Garthek gave an order for the bandits to kill the caravaners. Thrynn refused, and Garthek ordered his men to kill him. Thrynn had made many friends within the clan at the time, and many sided with him. The ensuing battle heavily divided the clan, and caused its disbandment, as there were only a few survivors.

One of those killed was Garthek. Thrynn left his head on a pike at the head of the caravan.
