Gharol's Message is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Gharol's Message is a miscellaneous quest initiated by Gharol the blacksmith in Dushnikh Yal. The Dragonborn is asked to deliver a sword to Gharol's daughter, Lash in Karthwasten.

Once access is gained to the strongholds, head to the Reach and find Dushnikh Yal. Inside is an Orsimer smith named Gharol. She is often found around the forge with her son.

When speaking about whether or not she sells weaponry to the other settlements, she will mention that it is rare, as Orcs pour their emotions into the weapons they make. She then asks for help to deliver a sword, made with feelings of shame and anger, to her daughter. She states that Lash will know what the sword means.

Lash can be found in Karthwasten as one of the miners. During the day she can be found in Fenn's Gulch Mine, or in the barracks at night. If this is the first time to the village, she can be seen confronting the Silver-Bloods, who wish to drive away the people to purchase the mine.

Upon giving her the sword she sadly says, "So that's it then? Don't come back". The sword was a message to never return home to her mother who has disowned her. She gives a reward for performing her mother's deed, then asks to be left alone.
