"They were once human, but are now trapped between here and the ethereal plane. They exist as spirits only, but have a chilling effect upon those they attack."

Ghosts are undead creatures encountered in The Elder Scrolls: Arena

DescriptionEdit

Ghosts are spirits of dead men or mer who are trapped between the material world and the afterline. These apparitions appear as flying transparent shades with glowing red eyes.

Usually found in dungeons, Ghosts probably haunt the places where they died. It is possible to identify Ghosts by their distinctive moan - lower and longer than a ghoul's moan.

Even if they do not possess material body, these spirits should not be underestimated. They can deal significant damage with their hands at close combat. However, probably the strongest ability of Ghosts and at the same time their major weakness is their ranged spell, which is used to attack far opponents. This spell does not damages health, instead it drains magicka from the target, this ability makes Ghosts a formidable enemy to mages and gives an aspect of uniqueness to these specters. However, this spell is inefective against opponents who do not use Magicka and even more inefective against opponentes who do not use Magicka and utilize ranged weapons, such as archers.

Ghosts are between Hell Hounds and zombies in terms of strenght.
