"There's plenty of good wood around here, but I just can't harvest it all by myself. Everyone able-bodied is fighting."

Gilfre is an Imperial lumberjack and owner of Mixwater Mill in Eastmarch.

Gilfre once had several workers at the mill, but they left her to fight in the Civil War. She's having trouble running the mill by herself.

She will buy any firewood taken to her.

Buying Sawn LogsEdit

In The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire, Gilfre sells sawn logs to the Dragonborn at a price of 200 GoldIcon per 20 logs. These logs are used in the building of any of the three homesteads added by this DLC.

If the Dragonborn is liked by Gilfre, she will allow them to cut her logs at the sawmill for free.

After selling firewood to her she will become a candidate for marriage

This section contains bugs related to Gilfre. Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Confirm all bugs with other editors on the talk page before adding them below.
  2. Always try reloading an old save first, before asking for assistance.
  3. Do not discuss possible bug fixes or origins. Leave those and all other first-person-anecdotes on the talk page, not the article.
  4. Always add  360  ,  PS3  , or  PC   to clarify which system the bug appears on.
  •  360   PS3  If she is married, after the ceremony in Riften at the Temple of Mara, Gilfre disappears. She doesn't respawn in Mixwater Mill, or any home owned by the Dragonborn. Her house still remains locked, but all the items in her house are accessible.
  •  360   PC   If Gilfre is killed, she will still send thugs after the murderer.
  •  360   If deciding to live with Gilfre at Mixwater Mill after the marriage, she will still demand the Dragonborn leave the house, even though they entered with the key she gave them. She will also continue to ask for chopping wood for her.
