Gnisis Barracks is a location in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The barracks are a quarters for the Fort Darius Legionaries in Gnisis.

Layout[]

The Gnisis Barracks feature three levels, the first being the ground floor where the entrance lies, the other two being a lower floor and a small basement. The building serves as quarters for the soldiers of the Imperial Legion and thus feature different rooms the men need for their everyday life.

Ground floor[]

The entrance area offers several small tables in corners for the soldiers to sit, drink and talk. Two doors left and right of the entrance lead to two separate rooms. The one on the left serves as storeroom. The one on the right seems to be the office of Dumbuk gro-Bolak, as it contains two desks.

Lower floor[]

Situated all around the staircase leading down from the ground floor are beds for the soldiers to sleep in. Again, two doors to the left and to the right lead off to other rooms.

On the left lies the mess hall, where the soldiers eat. A storeroom at the other end offers a place for the barrack's food and drink supplies.

The chamber to the right when coming down the stairs seems to be a training room. The skill trainer Optio Bologra resides here and supposedly also trains his fellow soldiers.

A third room directly opposite the staircase serves as another storage space and also leads through a locked trap door to the basement. "A Small Key," owned by Oritius Maro, opens the level 75 lock.

Basement[]

The basement consists of only one room. It serves as a secret[1] shrine for the Talos Cult. In a chest on the altar is a note hidden which proves the existence of a conspiracy against the Emperor.
