Grand Healing is an Expert-level Restoration spell in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that heals everyone within 15 feet of the caster for 200 points (300 with Regeneration perk). This spell will heal the caster and followers, but will not heal atronachs or Dead Thralls.

As Grand Healing is an area-of-effect spell, one does not need to target a certain individual to cast it, just being close to followers (even if facing away from them) and casting the spell will heal them. This is quite beneficial if the player has problems casting precision spells in the heat of combat. As Grand Healing also is quite strong (even more so coupled with the Regeneration perk and the Sailor's Repose effect), it will need to be cast less often to keep the player character and followers alive.

This section contains bugs related to Grand Healing (Skyrim). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  / XB1  ,  PS3  / PS4  ,  PC  / MAC  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person-anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  • On occasion grand healing may also heal enemies. These occasions occur primarily when the enemy was originally friendly but became hostile due to some circumstance such as wielding a weapon against the 'friendly' enemy. If the player chooses to attack the enemy, this attack may be exploited to level many different skills. Presumably this is a bug, due to the hostile flag not being set correctly.
  •  360   Grand Healing may not heal followers if they are on a different level than the player, i.e., on a stairs while the player is above or below them. Getting to the same level as followers will fix this issue.

    • I haven't had any further issues from the spell since the redguard woman, I guess it was just a random glitch of some kind.
    • I've had issues with other healing spells that I cast on others, not this one in particular, and it causes them to turn hostile too. Not alw...
