"Han-Ammu is the son of our former chief, Airan-Ammu, but he is nothing like his father. His birth gives him a strong claim to lead the tribe, but of the many virtues required by an ashkhan, he lacks only three things: strength, courage, and wisdom."
Manirai[src]

Han-Ammu is a Dunmer Herder residing in Erabenimsun Camp. He can usually be found in his yurt. Han-Ammu is an Ashlander and Gulakhan of the Erabenimsun tribe. Despite his position within the tribe, he dislikes fighting. During the quest "Erabenimsun Nerevarine," Han-Ammu becomes Ashkhan of the Erabenimsun, and then names the Nerevarine as their war-leader. Due to his important role in the Main Quest, he is an essential character.

It is known that Han-Ammu's father was Airan-Ammu, an Ashkhan who wielded the War Axe of Airan Ammu.

Personality[]

Han-Ammu is the son of the former Ashkhan of the Erabenimsun, Airan-Ammu, but he has a very different character from his father. While the late chief of the tribe was a strong and brutal man, Han-Ammu is peace-loving and lacks self-esteem. Although as the son of the former Ashkhan he has a strong claim to the position of Ashkhan himself, he is afraid of the responsibility and sure that he would be a "complete failure." During the main quest he must be persuaded to succeed his father and fill the responsible position. This works only after the Nerevarine has eliminated his enemies and bolstered his confidence.

Interactions[]

Erabenimsun Nerevarine[]

The Nerevarine is seeking to be named "Erabenimsun Nerevarine" by the Erabenimsun tribe, but the current Ashkhan Ulath-Pal refuses to name an outlander thus and even reacts aggressively to their inquiries. The tribe's Wise Woman Manirai advices the Nerevarine to kill Ulath-Pal and his war-loving followers in order to make Han-Ammu, who is the son of the former Ashkhan Airan-Ammu, their new leader. She is positive that once in the position of Ashkhan, he will be willing to name them "Erabenimsun Nerevarine."
