Hide Boots are a piece of light armor and part of the Hide Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

LocationsEdit

Enchanted and unenchanted variants begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 1. These locations include:

• Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
• Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
• Worn by Bandits.

VariantsEdit

• Morvath's Boots - Unique variant found in Movarth's Lair.

SmithingEdit

Hide Boots require no prerequisite Smithing level or perks to forge. They can be crafted at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 2 × Leather
• 2 × Leather Strips

They can be upgraded with Leather at a workbench, however they does not benefit from any smithing perks.

This means the armor cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100. This can be achieved by using enchanted items and/or blacksmithing potions to Fortify Smithing.
