For other uses, see Hrota Cave.

Hrota Cave is a single-level cave located in the Gold Coast region, north of Anvil, just off the Gold Road. This cave is a quest location and so the enemies inside are different when following that quest. It contains traps including rotten-planks, swinging-maces and cave-in traps.

Inside are a couple of Wisp Stalks and some cairn bolete. A concentration of Arrowroot can be found on either side of the road, 30 to 50 feet south of the cave.

Den of ThievesEdit

Azzan has got some more thieves for the Hero to deal with near Anvil, he also sends Maglir with them. Eventually they are led to Hrota Cave.

Newheim's FlagonEdit

When discussing the Den of Thieves quest with Newheim, he will say that the thieves are at Hrota Cave. He will also say that his family heirloom was stolen by those thieves, and he would like the Hero to retrieve it.

This section contains bugs related to Hrota Cave (Oblivion). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  / XB1  ,  PS3  / PS4  ,  PC  / MAC  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person-anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  • It is possible the cave can be completely abandoned if none of its associated quests are active. All chests and traps remain regardless of quest status, however any quest related items will be missing.
