IntroductionEdit

An Imperial Soldier is a character in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Unlike Stormcloak Soldiers, there is a larger male population in comparisson to the females. Standard Imperial soldiers are mostly of the male gender, however at the start of the game when in Helgen , a female Imperial officer is seen reading out the names of supposed Stormcloak Nords to be excecuted. 

InteractionsEdit

At the beginning of the game, Imperial Soldiers lead the execution. Hadvar is the first Imperial Soldier you can speak with after that. Imperial Soldiers are also random encounters, with a Stormcloak Prisoner. Guards in small cities conquered by the Imperial Legion are also Imperial Soldiers, but appear to be locally recruited or levied Nord reserves rather than the core members of the Fourth Legion from Cyrodiil and who fight on the front line and garrison forts.

ApparelEdit

Most Imperial Soldiers can be seen wearing Imperial Light Armor with an Imperial Shield equipped. Others, especially legates or captains, wear heavier Imperial Armor. They are always armed with Imperial Swords and Bows. Their armor and weapons are inspired by the ancient Roman military around the early to mid Imperial period (roughly 30 BCE - 250 CE). Some other light foot soldier don Studded Imperial Armour , which is the lightest out of the Imperial armour range.
