Bugs[]

This section contains bugs related to Iron Arrow (Skyrim). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  /  XB1  ,  PS3  /  PS4  ,  PC  /  MAC  ,  NX  /  PS5  ,  XS  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  360   Iron arrows may frequently pass through enemies without hitting them, even at point blank range where no miss can be mistaken as a bug. The enemies can be hit normally however if they detect the player character, and this occurs with no other arrow type.
  •  PC   In The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire, placing iron arrows in the Dragonborn's house's cupboard may render them unable to be retrieved, causing them to be stuck in the cupboard. This does not seem to happen with other arrow types.
    •  PC (Fix)   This is because some iron arrows which the Dragonborn may have acquired are abnormal in some way. The only way to check if the Dragonborn has these abnormal iron arrows is by dropping the stack of iron arrows. If the Dragonborn is in possession of abnormal iron arrows, the dropped arrows will split into two quivers on the ground, one containing only regular arrows, and the other (usually much smaller in number) containing only the abnormal arrows. Leave the abnoral arrows or pick them up and use the console command "player.removeitem 1397d #" where # is the total number of abnormal arrows. After picking up the other quiver, it should be completely safe to place the iron arrows in containers and cupboards.
