Iron Boots are a piece of heavy armor and part of the Iron Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

LocationsEdit

Enchanted and unenchanted variants begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 1. These locations include:

• Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
• Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
• Worn by Bandits.

SmithingEdit

Iron Boots requires no prerequisite Smithing level or perks to forge. They can be crafted at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 2 × Leather Strips
• 3 × Iron Ingot

They can be upgraded with a Iron Ingot at a workbench, however they do not benefit from any smithing perks.

This means the armor cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100. This can be achieved by using enchanted items and/or blacksmithing potions to Fortify Smithing.
