Jaqspurs are highly skilled long-distance Bosmeri archers and hunters. They also form the elite personal guard of the Silvenar.[1]
Description[]
The style of bow draw used by jaqspurs has been described as "snatching and releasing in one continuous motion." This allows them to maintain a very high rate of shooting, though years of training are required to be accurate at such speed.[2] Some are so accurate with a bow that they may split another arrow mid-flight.[3]
History[]
Lady Allena Benoch was said to be a jaqspur by the age of fourteen, prior to the events of the Black Year and war of the Bosmer tribes.[4] A pair of jaqspurs assisted a courier with tracking down Flaccus Terentius, the missing author of The (Improved) Emperor's Guide to Tamriel, when he disappeared near the haunted village of Gil-Var-Delle.[5] The Battle of Thormar was won when the leader of the Khajiit militia Yenamu Frost-Fist was killed by a stray arrow through the eye by an unknown jaqspur.[6]
