Jhunal, called the God of Runes,[1] is the Nordic god of hermetic orders. He is often represented by an owl, a symbol rare to find among warlike Nords.[2] By the Second Era, his worship was beginning to fade.[3]. This is often attributed to a notion among Nords that anything that does not make one physically stronger is worthless,[4] though the true reason may be due to his similarities with Herma Mora.[UL 1] He is absent in modern Nordic mythology.[5] In the Ancient Nordic Pantheon, Jhunal was worshiped as the Owl, one of the Hearth Gods.[1]
