The Keepers of the Razor were a group of individuals tasked with safeguarding pieces of Mehrunes' Razor, so that it may never be reformed.[1]
Origins[]
They were originally a militant order that was founded to destroy the remnants of the Mythic Dawn after the Oblivion Crisis, however, the group was renamed after discovering Mehrunes' Razor. The Razor was divided among the three highest-ranking members of the order's inner circle:
- Lenne, a Nord member of the Axe-Bearer clan and keeper of the Hilt of Mehrunes' Razor.
- Othmash, an Orc and former member of the Imperial Legion and keeper of the Shards of Mehrunes' Razor.
- Sorcha, a Breton woman from Markarth and keeper of the Pommel of Mehrunes' Razor.
It was agreed that each piece of the Razor be passed down from oldest child to oldest child "Until the twin moons themselves disappeared from the skies." Although this pledge seems to have been loosely interpreted, as the moons did indeed disappear during the Void Nights of 4E 98–4E 100, yet the Razor's pieces were still being bequeathed through the generations during and after this time.[1]
