"The Kitchen provides everything you need to pursue the highest culinary arts. Tired of cooking everything in a pot over a fire? You can even equip it with a new-fangled oven!"
The Beginner's Guide to Homesteading[src]

The Kitchen is a possible addition for the east wing of a homestead built in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire.

Features[]

The kitchen is a rectangular room that serves as a dedicated location where cooking and baking can take place. Like the Trophy Room and Greenhouse, the room is located on the ground floor and no additions are made to the second floor.

Furnishings unique to the kitchen include an oven and a butter churn. The oven can be used to bake a wide selection of foods and the churn can be used periodically to obtain butter.

It also offers a wide variety of cooking related storage and furnishings, such as hanging racks and a washbasin. In addition, decorative mounted animal heads are available. Once it's fully furnished, a wide range of food and ingredients can be found throughout the room.

Furnishings[]

The following is a list of all furnishings that can be added to the Kitchen. Furnishings can be built manually at the indoor Carpenter's Workbench or added over a period time if done via a Steward for price of 1500 Gold.

All furnishings are fixed in position and cannot be removed once they are built. The name of the furnishing option does not always accurately describe what will be added, as in some cases additional containers and accessories may be added, along with the main piece of furniture.

  •  PC   360   Sometimes the Butter Churn works for only one use.
  •  PC   360   The Mounted Elk Antlers fall down and since it is considered movable static it can be moved but not picked up, creating chaos in the kitchen.
