Leather Armor is a piece of light armor and part of the Leather Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Locations Edit

Unenchanted armor will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 6 and enchanted variants can be found at level 7. These locations include:

• Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
• Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
• Dropped as random loot by Bandits.

SmithingEdit

Leather Armor doesn't require a Smithing level or a perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 4 × Leather
• 3 × Leather Strips

It can be upgraded with Leather at a workbench, however it does not benefit from any smithing perks. This means the armor cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100. This can be achieved by using enchanted items and/or blacksmithing potions to Fortify Smithing.
