The title Legate (pronounced leg-it) is a rank of the Imperial Legion. The rank is given to the field generals and the high ranking soldiers. Legates sit one level of command below General.

Gaining the rankEdit

Legates are appointed based on experience and proof of prowess. Ranks are given, indiscriminate of gender or race -- although typically the role is filled by an Imperial.

DutiesEdit

Legates command foot soldiers, issuing orders and directing them in combat. Legates coordinate invasions of cities, raids on Stormcloak forts and bases of operations.

Possible legatesEdit

The Dragonborn ends up becoming a legate for all the duties performed for the empire, and when speaking to imperial soldiers they will address you as legate.

BugsEdit

• Currently there is a bug in which Legates are still flagged as "essential" characters after completing the Civil War questline, which prevents them from being killed
