Literacy Campaign is a House Hlaalu quest available to the Nerevarine, if they joined House Hlaalu, in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Background[]

Ilmeni Dren asked me to find copies of "Annotated Anuad" and "ABCs for Barbarians" and deliver them to Vala Catraso in the Ald'ruhn Guild of Mages.

Objectives[]

  1. Speak with Ilmeni Dren
  2. Obtain ABCs for Barbarians and The Annotated Anuad
  3. Return to Dren

Walkthrough[]

Ilmeni Dren can be found in her home within the St. Delyn Canton. She will begin to give the Nerevarine quests to complete when they have proved to be loyal to House Hlaalu (having reached the rank of Kinsman). The first of these quests is to help the Mages Guild to educate the population by obtaining a couple of books: ABCs for Barbarians and The Annotated Anuad.

Education, education, education[]

Both of these books can be found in the majority of bookshops across Vvardenfell, including the one found in Ald'ruhn, the books' final destination. The two books must be given to Vala Catraso, a priest within the Mages Guild's base in Ald'ruhn, who is responsible for education in the town. Once the books have been delivered, the Nerevarine must return to Dren to complete the quest.

Trivia[]

  • Despite the fact Dren is talking about the population in general, it seems that the majority of people in Vvardenfell are literate (through the Nerevarine's interaction with them).
    • The absence of children from the game also makes her statement questionable.
