"Long Blade skill lets one use broadswords, sabers, longswords, claymores, katanas, and dai-katanas effectively"
―Construction Set[src]

Long Blade is a combat specialization skill in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This skill determines the effectiveness when using weapons of this type. Long Blade is governed by the Strength attribute.

There are two primary types of weapons governed by this skill: one-handed (e.g. longswords) and two-handed (e.g. claymores). One-handed weapons are generally lighter and faster, and do less damage, but allow the use of a shield granting greater protection. Two-handed are generally heavier and slower, and do more damage, but prevent the use of a shield thereby sacrificing protection.

It is similar to the skills of Blade (Oblivion), and One-Handed (Skyrim).

As the skill level increase, so will the accuracy and damage of each strike. A success strike during combat will increase the skill progression a percentage. When the progression of the current skill level reaches 100%, the skill level increases by 1.
