• Madesi's market stall is located in the market square of Riften.
• If the Dragonborn has been caught while trying to steal or place the ring in the quest A Chance Arrangement, the ring will be found in the evidence chest in the Riften Jail. Even though you are caught, you still qualify for the Thieves Guild.

• If Brand-Shei is caught with the ring, and taken to Riften Jail, it may not show up in the evidence chest.
