Mammoth Tusk Powder

Not to be confused with Powdered Mammoth Tusk.

Mammoth Tusk Powder is a quest item in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Mammoth Tusk Powder is required to complete the quest "Repairing the Phial." It is found in the Stonehill Bluff giant camp between Dawnstar and Whiterun inside a large stone bowl near the bonfire.

Trivia

Even though it is a quest item, it can be dropped, the Unmelting Snow, which is also part of the quest, cannot be.
Unlike most quest items that have weight but actually weigh nothing, this item weighs 0.5.
To keep the Mammoth Tusk Powder, after collecting the ingredients, return to Quintus, and select the speech option, "I have the materials you requested." As soon as the option is selected, exit the conversation and drop the Powder from the inventory menu. The quest should proceed as normal.
Powdered Mammoth Tusk, an ingredient which can be acquired elsewhere, it is not the same thing as the quest item Mammoth Tusk Powder.
Mammoth Tusk Powder could also be considered an ingredient because it is used to make high-grade quality skooma.
