Maxivian Faleria was the son of Ianus Faleria and a merchant's daughter. He was the paternal grandson of Lord Nunex Faleria and Lady Faleria, though his maternal grandparents were horrified of his elvish features.[1][2]
Biography
Maxivian was the son of Ayleid-Imperial Ianus Faleria and a human merchant's daughter living in the Gold Coast, whom Ianus visited in secret. He was born in 1E 420,[1] though his mother's family were horrified of his elvish traits. They forced her to confess that Maxivian's father was Ianus, Lord Nunex Faleria's son. Lord Faleria took his grandson and hid him with the rest of his Ayleid family, as the Alessian Empire would banish or execute him due to the First Pogrom.[2]
Within days, the Alessian Army was at the gate of Fort Faleria, seeking to arrest Nunex for his crimes of treason after discovering his elvish children. On the 19th Sun's Dawn, 1E 421, Maxivian went with his family to his grandfather, just after he had finished performing a dangerous ritual to wipe out the Alessian Army. Ianus put his hand on his Nunex's shoulder, but it was too late for Lord Faleria to cancel the ritual, and the darkness he summoned inadvertently killed Maxivian and Ianus. Lord Faleria buried him with his uncle Neransi on the surface, where he never allowed his children to go, writing "You are the Light in My Darkness" on his epitaph.[1][2]
