"The Dunmer get their drinks at the New Gnisis Cornerclub. Why the can't just call it a tavern is beyond me."
―Windhelm Guard[src]

The New Gnisis Cornerclub is an inn located in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim located in the Gray Quarter of Windhelm.

Contents

DescriptionEdit

The cornerclub serves as the social center of the Dunmer within Windhelm. Patrons can buy drinks and swap stories, but there are no rooms to rent. Some Nords from Windhelm seem to think the drinks here are better than at the Candlehearth Hall.

There are three levels in the Corner Club. On the first is the owner, Ambarys. On the second there is a shelf with Imperial armor, an Imperial helmet, and Imperial gauntlets. On top of the shelf there is a Strong Box with an Adept Lock, and next to the shelf there is a table with an Imperial Sword and an Imperial shield. On the third floor you can find the character Malthyr Elenil sleeping in the bed at night, as well as the business ledger on a table on the left side as you walk up the stairs.

On the first floor, a skill book is lodged between barrels beneath the stairs leading up to the second floor above the dungeon behind the bushes in the trees.

Steal Double-Distilled SkoomaEdit

Stands-In-Shallows asks the Dragonborn to steal some double-distilled Skooma from the New Gnisis Cornerclub. It is on the second floor under the stairs, between some crates. It restores 50 points of Stamina, equivalent to a Potion of Stamina.

Diplomatic ImmunityEdit

If Malborn survives Diplomatic Immunity he will be found here and will ask that you kill a Khajiit mercenary after which he will travel to Morrowind and never be seen by the Dragonborn again.

If Brelas gets sent to the Thalmor Embassy interregation room, during Diplomatic Immunity, then freed, and survives, she will be found here.

TriviaEdit

  • It's worth noting that if the Dragonborn sides with the Imperials in the Civil War questline, Rendar will become notably more optimistic after the Imperials capture Windhelm.
  • Susanna the Wicked will recommend the cornerclub if the Dragonborn wants a "real drink," and she will say that they didn't hear that from her.
  • The presence of a full set of Imperial armor and equipment on the second floor of the club may imply that the owners were harboring militant intent toward the Stormcloaks.
  • The owner does not follow them around as in most shops
