Nirnroot is a plant known for its audible vibrating noise when neared and is usually found very near to a source of water. The plant has appeared in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls Online. In Skyrim, a variation, the Crimson Nirnroot, was first discovered.[1]

Background
According to The Book of the Great Tree, the closer a Nirnroot is to the Great Tree the taller and lusher the plant will grow.[2]
