The oxygen meter in Oblivion
CruxizerAdded by Cruxizer

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the oxygen meter is a visual timer that displays the length of time that the player can safely stay underwater. When the timer runs out the player will begin to rapidly lose health. In Morrowind, the oxygen meter displays the string "Breath" above the visual timer.

Skyrim Edit

In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim the oxygen meter doesn't have a visual timer, but the player will begin to rapidly lose health after 20 seconds underwater.

Trivia Edit

  • Argonians have a natural ability to stay underwater indefinitely.
  • It's possible to stay underwater for longer periods by using spells, potions or enchantments.
  • Contrary to popular belief, stamina does not affect the time the player can stay underwater.
