The Poacher's Axe is an unique weapon and tool available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It serves the same function as a regular Woodcutter's Axe; however, it does extra damage to animals.

EnchantmentEdit

The axe bears the following unique enchantment:

• Huntsman's Prowess: 3 points

Unlike most unique enchantments, it can be disenchanted to learn the enchantment.

AcquisitionEdit

This item can be found wielded by a bandit at Halted Stream Camp. The bandit is usually an Orc and tends to be found either near the grindstone above ground or within the mine. If the axe is not collected the first time, it may not respawn when the location resets.

SmithingEdit

The Poacher's Axe, unlike most tools, can be upgraded at a grindstone with a Steel Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk, however it does not benefit from any smithing perks.
