The Short Bow is a standard weapon of an assassin. He uses this weapon to get ranged kills and be stealthy about it. The player can level up his sneak skill to the point where he can shoot straight through armor. Basically armor has no effect. It is preferred among members of the Dark Brotherhood because they have to carry out missions that require you not to be seen in order to get a big bonus.
