The following is a list of all Skill Books in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Skill Books are unique books that can grant the Dragonborn a permanent one point increase to its associated skill. Opening a skill book will automatically grant the bonus. They can be read at any time and, unlike Skill Trainers, who limit increases to five levels per level, there is no limit to the number of skill books that can be read in one level. However, the same book cannot give an additional skill bonus if read twice. The Dragonborn add-on includes an ability called Scholar's Insight that grants two points for every skill book read.

There is no tell-tale method to identify a skill book, as they look rather identical to regular books. This can often lead to the unplanned raising of a skill. Although one way many skill books are distinguishable from normal books is that they are usually lying down on a surface that has better lighting than the rest of the room, and they are not often near any other books. They are also typically not located on a shelf with other books that have just their spines facing outwards. Rather, they tend to be very visible, typically lying flat on a surface. Another sign is the pricing of a book. Skill books tend to be more expensive than regular books. While most skill books for spell types (Destruction, Illusion, Conjuration, Restoration and Alteration) have the spell type's symbol on the front cover.

There are five different books for each skill and a total of 90 books. They can be found almost anywhere, and typically appear as a world item.

Given the rarity and usefulness of skill books, it may be desired to add them into the inventory without reading them by ordering a follower to pick them up. The book can then be taken from the follower and read at a later date.

Mace Etiquette	Fort Greenwall, Captain's quarters, on a bookshelf by the bed. Orotheim, on top of boxes on upper part of the first area. Sky Haven Temple, inside the armory on the left. On the table with Dragonbane. Uttering Hills Cave, in the same room as Linwe during the Summerset Shadows. Volunruud, in the north west room that has the throne that is surrounded by traps.
Night Falls on Sentinel	Swindler's Den, on a crate. This book is also a quest item. Rustleif, the blacksmith in Dawnstar, asks for the retrieval of it for his pregnant wife Seren. Volunruud, in the boss chest. Unmarked Bandit camp northwest of Helgen, south of the Guardian Stones.
The Importance of Where	Chillfurrow Farm, left into the bedroom, can be found on the dresser. Markarth Guard Tower, first room on the right, on a table to the left. The Exodus	Forelhost Crypt, go through the master locked iron cell in the middle of a room, down the stairs, through the underwater area to the north on the map. After coming out onto a dry room, go through the next underwater corridor and it will be in the next room on a shelf. Hob's Fall Cave, on a table near the alchemy lab. Stendarr's Beacon, on a bedroll. Swamp Pond Massacre, a small unmarked encampment located north of the Apprentice Stone. The Frozen Hearth in Winterhold, in the cellar. The book is tucked in the middle of a few crates on the right side of the room, up against the wall.
