Slay Dagoth Tanis is a House Redoran quest, potentially available to the Nerevarine during the events of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Objectives[]

  1. Speak to Faral Retheran
  2. Head to Falasmaryon
    1. Kill Dagoth Tanis
    2. Find the body of Irer Nervion and take the Ancestor Ring (optional)
  3. Return to Retheran

Walkthrough[]

Having helped Rothis Nethan to duel with honor at the Vivec Arena, the Nerevarine is informed of an ascended sleeper by Faral Retheran. According to Retheran, the creature has taken over the Stronghold of Falasmaryon and has been named Dagoth Tanis. The Nerevairne is tasked with removing the Dagoth from the Stronghold.

Killing Dagoth Tanis[]

The stronghold of Falasmaryon can be found to the north of Foyada Bani-Dad (along a path off the Foyada to the north). Dagoth Tanis can be found in the deepest depths of the stronghold, guarding a Sixth House altar. Once Tanis has been killed, the Nerevarine may return to Retheran in the Redoran Treasury to complete the quest. However, there is a further part to the quest.

Find Irer Nervion's body[]

Although this part of the quest is not highlighted in the Nerevarine's journal, this section of the quest can boost Retheran's disposition towards the Nerevarine by a significant margin. The body of Irer Nervion can be found in the first room to the right of the entrance of Falasmaryon. Nervion's body holds his Ancestor Ring, which should be returned to Retheran along with the news of the defeat of Dagoth Tanis. Retheran will be grateful for the Nerevarine's discovery and will give them another Ancestor Ring.
