"Spear skill permits effective use of long-hafted thrusting weapons like spears and halberds."
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Construction Set

Spear is a combat specialization skill in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Use of the skill increases the effectiveness while wielding specific types of weapons. The Spear skill is governed by the endurance attribute. Spears allow the wielder to strike at an opponent from a greater distance than other weapons, which can allow them to avoid attacks from shorter weapons.

All weapons that use this skill are two-handed, preventing the use of a shield.

The skill level is increased while wielding this weapon during combat. When a strike lands successfully, progress towards the skill increase a percentage. When the progression of the current skill level reaches 100%, the skill level increases by 1.

Racial bonusEdit

Certain races gain a one-time skill bonus during character creation.
