The Staff of Fear is a staff found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This staff's effect emulates the Illusion spell Fear. Charge consumed by the staff's use is reduced by higher Illusion skill.

Locations

• Found in chests and on the bodies of mages across Skyrim.
• One can be obtained in Shalidor's Maze.
• Mages in the College of Winterhold rarely sell this staff.

Crafting

The staff can be crafted with the addition of The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn in Tel Mithryn after a certain quest is completed. It requires a staff enchanter in the locked room in Tel Mithyrn. It requires the following components:

• 2 × Heart Stone
• 1 × Unenchanted Illusion Staff
