The Staff of Tandil is an item which appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Enthir tasks the Dragonborn with obtaining the staff in the quest line Arniel's Endeavor. This could also be the same Tandil from the Psiijic Order at the end of the main quest of the college of winterhold
Acquisition
The location of the staff is based upon the Radiant Story system. Listed below are known possible locations for the staff:
- Fellglow Keep
- Cragwallow Slope
- Morvunskar
- Greywater Gorge
- Falkreath Watchtower
- Mara's Eye Pond
- Southfringe Sanctum
- Harmugstahl
- Ansilvund
Trivia
- The effect of the staff is slightly stronger than the effect of the spell Calm.
- When giving the Staff to Enthir its possible to keep the staff by wielding it when going into dialogue, however it will be considered as a quest item and thus cannot be dropped. It can however be placed in a weapon rack to remove it from the inventory.
Bugs
- In the quest in which you have to retrieve it, the staff may become unobtainable in the aforementtioned locations, even though the quest marker points to one of them.
