A Stalhrim Shield is a light armor shield and part of the Stalhrim armor set.
Locations
Shields will begin to appear throughout Solstheim at level 35. These locations include:
- Sold by Baldor Iron-Shaper in the Skaal Village.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
- Carried by certain enemy boss variants.
Smithing
A Stalhrim shield requires a Smithing level of 80 and the Ebony Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 4 × Stalhrim
- 1 × Steel Ingot
- 1 × Leather Strips
It can be upgraded with a chunk of stalhrim at a workbench and also benefits from the Ebony Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
Enchanting
Due to Stalhrim's innate properties, the resist frost enchantment is 25% stronger when placed on this armor pieces crafted from it. This effect is identical to the enchanting perk "Frost Enchanter".
