Stallion's Potion is a potion that increases stamina by 20 points for 300 seconds, given to the player by Bothela in The Hag's Cure quest in Markarth for delivery to Raerek for a special problem.

It is a quest item, and as such can not be consumed, sold, traded or dropped. Note: Can be sold, consumed, traded, or dropped if pickpocketed after completion of the quest.

Considering Raerek's reluctance to discuss his problem, as well as the nature of the potion itself, it can be inferred that the potion is supposed to be a cure for impotency or lack of endurance in bed.

Bugs

•  PC   PS3   360   Stallion's Potion is marked as "stolen" when in the player's inventory, despite it being a quest item given to the player through legitimate means. Therefore, if the player is caught by guards, it will be taken from his/her inventory and the quest, Bothela's Discreet Delivery, cannot be finished.
•  PC   The quest can be given even after the player has sided with the Stormcloaks and liberated the Reach, thus making Raerek no longer steward. In this case, the quest cannot be completed and the potion is stuck in your inventory.
