The Steel Battleaxe is a Two-Handed weapon found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

LocationEdit

Unenchanted Steel Battleaxes will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 2 and enchanted battleaxes can be found at level 3. These locations include:

• Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
• Wielded by various Characters, or Enemies.
• Found as random loot in chests, or as a world item throughout Skyrim.

SmithingEdit

Crafting the battleaxe requires the Steel Smithing perk. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 2 x Leather Strip
• 4 x Steel Ingot
• 1 x Iron Ingot

It can be upgraded with a Steel Ingot at a grindstone and also benefits from the Steel Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
