LocationsEdit

• If the Dragonborn chooses to side with Hadvar at the beginning of the game there are 5 steel ingots at Alvor's Workshop under the Workbench or you can steal them at night if you sided with Ralof.
• In Embershard Mine there is a chance of looting them from the bandits.
• Merchants start selling them at level 5.
• Sometimes can be found right next to the workbench in Whiterun.
• Two ingots can be found at the Weynon stones on the shrine of talos beside a broken steel battleaxe.

SmeltingEdit

Steel ingots are unique in that they are the only ingots that requires two different ore types to be created. The following materials are needed to smelt a single steel ingot :

• Corundum Ore (1)
• Iron Ore (1)

Along with smelting, they can be bought at general goods merchants and blacksmiths. Furthermore, they can be found on enemies as loot.
